Meet Raha, the Ridgetek Rhino…it’s got a nice ring to it, don’t you think?
For our 10th Anniversary, we wanted to mark the occasion by doing something a little different.
The idea came from Rutva’s travels to Kenya over the Summer when she decided to take a photo, holding our Ridgetek leaflet at the Safari Camp she was staying at, so that she could link it to our Newsletter when she came back.
Then came the idea of having a Ridgetek mascot, as opposed to a leaflet, that the team can take with them whenever they are out and about.
Why a Rhino?Â
Well, apart from the fact that it has a nice ring to it, in African Folklore, the rhino has traits such as courage, determination and wisdom which we feel encompasses the spirit of most businesses, including Ridgetek.
Whilst in Kenya, Rutva and her family were lucky enough to visit the David Sheldrick Orphanage where they met Raha the Rhino, who Ridgetek have decided to adopt, again to mark our 10th Anniversary alongside our mascot.
Raha was born in September 2022 and was rescued from the wild as she had been abandoned. She was in a sorry state and her tail had been bitten off by predators, leaving nasty injuries.

So, if you see any of the team out and about with Raha (the cuddly version), please come and say hello and take advantage of a photo opportunity for your socials.
We would like to thank all our clients, past and present, for helping us reach this significant milestone.
